THANK YOU to all who prayed and fasted during the month of September as we sought direction for the Mountain Valley Mennonite Churches. And a special thank you to all who turned in the response forms. MVMC Council met October 11 and we hope to have a report from that meeting out by the end of October.

Dora Taylor will be taking her books home after today.

A LOOK AT VMBM MISSIONS: This summer, in Lezhe, Albania, Steve Dintaman, teacher of theology at Lithuanian Christian University, led a Bible school class on the theme of "the priority of the church in the life of the Christian." Lively discussions and in-depth learning were inspiring to all who attended. Allen Umble, VMBM worker, reported that "God visited us in a special way."

BIRTHDAY
October 19 - Sanford K.

MEMORY SELECTION
But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. - Jeremiah 31:33
